Hotel Almirante Farragut - Cala'n Forcat

Part of the Hoteles Globales Group of hotels, the 4 star rated Hotel Almirante Farragut has an enviable position overlooking a small sheltered cove in the popular resort of Cala'n Forcat on the rugged west coast of Menorca.

The hotel is approximately 50km west of the capital Mahon and the International Aeropuerto de Menorca airport, and 5km north west of the historic City of Ciutadella.

Built in 1973 and fully renovated during the winter of 2015, the modern Hotel Almirante Farragut has a total of 493 guest rooms, including 387 twin rooms and a further 106 singles, which are built over 5 floors and set amidst spacious Mediterranean style gardens and sun terraces around a large central pool area overlooking the sea.

All guest rooms at the hotel are either air conditioned or centrally heated according to the season and come equipped with a modern fully fitted "en suite" bathroom with shower and hairdryer, along with a ceiling fan, satellite television, direct dial telephone, mini bar, safety deposit box available for rental, and either a balcony or terrace, most of which have exterior views over the pool and garden area towards the sea.

In addition to the above features, 6 rooms have also been specially adapted for disabled guests, and all rooms are provided with a daily maid service, undertaking a change of towels as required, and change of bed linen twice a week.

Guest facilities on offer includes a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange desk, and both luggage and courtesy rooms for late departures, along with an air conditioned buffet style restaurant and snack bar with show cooking, offering a choice of traditional Spanish, international and vegetarian menus, as well as a games room, public internet terminals, laundry and medical services, and both lounge and pool bars.

For business guests, the Hotel Almirante Farragut also offers the use of two large air conditioned conference and meeting rooms, seating a maximum of 148 guests, both of which are equipped with a selection of modern audio visual aids.

Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests includes a choice of two large outdoor saltwater swimming pools for adults, with integrated children's sections, and spacious sun terraces and gardens overlooking the sea that are furnished with loungers and parasols.

Other leisure facilities includes a children's playground and mini club, along with four paddle tennis courts, one multi-use artificial grass sports field, a mini-golf course and both pool and table tennis tables.

The Hotel Almirante Farragut also provides a seasonal programme of daytime sporting activities, organised each day by their resident animation team, featuring petanque, water polo and aerobics, as well as evening entertainment with a children's mini disco which is then followed by either live music, cabaret or other professional shows several times each week.
